Clinical Hypnotherapy is the use of a meditative trace state in psychologically healthy individuals for therapeutic purposes.

Progressive Muscle Relaxation is a very useful and a clinically proven way to begin to train your body to release stress and tension. I recommend that individuals read all the articles about Hypnotherapy (knowledge is power) and practice the following exercise daily before coming to their first appointment. Practising cultivates the relaxation response and helps you get more out of your Hypnotherapy sessions. It reinforces your ability to relax and trains you to relax easily and simply.

The use of Clinical Hypnotherapy requires an initial intake/information gathering session. While Clinical Hypnotherapy is a very safe effective form of therapy I may decline to work with certain individuals taking certain medications or I may require a letter from your GP or Consultant to confirm you may have Hypnotherapy if you are taking any psychiatric/psychoactive medications.
If you are epileptic or have experienced sexual abuse/trauma in the past Clinical Hypnotherapy is not a recommended treatment. |
